We got a hold of Natus Vincere captain Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko after defeating bet4gamers in the quarter-finals at GameGune 2010.

In this very rare English interview with the Natus Vincere captain, we quizzed him about the performance of his team so far in the tournament, also touching on why the team has won so many tournaments and if there will be disappointments should they not win this tournament.

Describe how your team performed during the group stage yesterday and the quarter-final today against bet4gamers.

After Arbalet Cup Dallas we are using very different monitors (CRT) and PC's and they are quite unusual for us. But in the group stage we performed in a confident way and advanced in first place. A few hours ago there was a very important match with the best Spanish team. We were playing on one of our best maps and we were so much focused on it that we were taking it round by round. As terrorist they could not do anything and we won this game without any chances for Spanish team.   

Yesterday when we spoke with MusambaN1, he stated that they can cause some surprise. Not much surprising over a 16-3 victory for you guys, did you have them figured out or did you simply just outplayed them?

Yeah we knew a little about them and added some new things in our rounds, but mostly we played our usual game.

Tomorrow you will face off against Frag eXecutors, promising for some of the action we have been longing for at this event. What do you expect of the match against the Polish team?

Maybe we will surprise someone, but this game will be first against them in Na`Vi's history and it will be played on one of the best FX's map. It seems like they are not such an uncomfortable team for us, but we were unlucky with map pool. We will try to play our best game and try to win this one.

A victory in the semi-final could very well link you up with fnatic in the upper-bracket final, should the Swedes win against CNB. Looking forward to another battle against fnatic or would you rather try something new, in the sense of CNB and do you believe they could surprise against fnatic?

Regarding this match I don't know at all how Brazilians are playing on de_nuke, meanwhile the Swedes always play this map and their performance on it have always been kind of. In my opinion fnatic will win, but it will be not so easy for them. About our possible match against fnatic, I will comment on it after the game with FX :)

When we spoke to Gux yesterday, he said that you guys live off your tactics, especially anti-tactics and that you are a lot smarter than everyone thinks. What would you describe as your strengths in winning tournaments again and again?

When our roster was complete, we knew that all players in the team were quite skilled, but we couldn't win the tournaments only with our individual skill. That's why we try to focus on team-based tactical game from the beginning.

Right now after visiting so many tournaments and winning many of them, our individual skill is much higher than it was six months ago. So we can win rounds not only using unexpected strategies, but with our personal performance of each player.  

You have won a great number of tournaments this year. Let's say you will not win this one, how will you handle it and will it be disappointing to not finish on top, regardless of who should beat you to it?

I think if chemistry and relationships inside the team are good, losing that kind of tournament could only make the team stronger. But we are not going to lose this one! Even if this occasion will take place I think we will not be disappointed, there are a lot of tournaments waiting for us.

Last time I started learning English, I even hired a personal teacher, but due to our tough schedule I couldn't learn it as much I wanted to.
